London Trip @ 22-29 January 2009 (Day 1 - Part 3) Our rented apartment

22 January 2009

When Dad has decided to go to London during CNY, he has been quite busy sourcing for accomodation. Mum did tell me before that accomodation in London or Europe countries are quite expensive (just like Japan).

After searching for a good deal, Dad was told that one of his friend in London is actually has a vacant apartment to be rented out. Dad's friend told him that we can stay there for a week but we still need to pay daily rental to him. If I am not wrong, he rented to us at 70 pound a day which Dad said that it was very reasonable especially the apartment has two rooms/living hall/kitchen and most importantly it is located at a very convinient area, ie Bayswater. You may read about Bayswater from here and here :)

Have a look at the lovely apartment :)

New York Fries @ Harbour City, HK

Dad told me last week that he will bring us to try something new. The place that we went is called "New York Fries". You may read more here.

While waiting for Dad to order our food, we went to search for a place to sit. Sigh, the outlet is so small and not many tables and chairs but we found a place where we can eat BUT we have to stand :( Anyway, better than nothing, right. Actually there are a few available places outside but since it is dizzling, Mum said that it was better for us to stay in-door.

Let's have MY photos taken while waiting for the food!

OUR dinner but but .. guessed what .. after NYF, we went to have nasi lemak and curry laksa .. muahahhahahaha :)

(L to R) The Works, Poutine and Veggie Works

Hahaha .. OUR drinks!! Mum's fav drinks!
NY Hot dogs - Plain and one is topped with pickles and mustard :) Two small containers of ketchup and one extra cheese sauce

Few photos taken in and outside the outlet :-

the place is quite small - not many tables and chairs :( What to do .. rental in HK is not cheap .. hehehe

Photos taken outside the outlet -

Verdict : The food are fantastic and definately go back again ! But wait .. Dad said .. we will try Irish Fries first, then only go back to NYF to eat again hahaha :)

London Trip @ 22-29 January 2009 (Day 1 - Part 2) London Paddington Railway Station

22 January 2009

Reached London Paddington Railway Station by Heathrow Connect. The journey from the airport to this Station was a very comfortable as the train itself is new and quite comfortable :)

London Paddington Station is the most important station in central London. If I am not wrong, Dad did say that this Station is very very old .. more than 150 years old but it is a very beautiful station even though it is old :) I think it looks more like a historical building than a station :)
Let's have a look at few photos taken :)

From the railway station, we have to take a cab to our aparment which is at Bayswater which is quite near the station. The cabs in London are cute ! Like a toy car .. hahaha :)

London Trip @ 22-29 January 2009 (Day 1 - Part 1) London Heathrow Central

I knew that I owed a lot of people on the posts relating to London/Paris which Dad and Mum brought me to during Chinese New Year this year. I really can't find time to post the photos that Mum had already selected. Well. I think I really need to sit down and posts all the photos and some descriptions. There will be alot of photos but with minimal words :)
I really enjoyed myself during this trip and would like to thank Dad to bring me there! I really love London and Paris and guess what, I wanted to go back there again in 10 years time .. this time won't as a tourist BUT as a student! I want to study in London. When I told Mum about it, she just stared at me and said "You better study hard and get a scholarship if you want to study in London, I don't have money to send you there!" Terrible Mum. hahahaha .. anyway, I definately will study hard and be there in 10 years' time!! Wish me good luck!!
Ok .. let's start reading what I have posted today! Hope you will like all the photos taken and the places that we have visited as I myself will definately remember all that :) Once again, thank you Dad and Mum for giving me the opportunity to see the other side of the world!!
**************************
We arrived in London at about 7pm (London time) after being in the plane for about 13 hours! It was really a long and tiring journey. Guess what I have been doing in the plane .. eat, sleep, play games .. eat, sleep, play games and of course I brought a few books to read but it was still a looong loong trip .. quite scary in fact!!!

Once we reached the London Heathrow Airport, I noticed that many of the people that working at the airport are Indians. Quite surprised actually. Actually, Mum and myseld did not take any photos at the airport because we are too tired to do so.

After all those checking at the Customs and Immigration, we felt a bit better :) Ok .. we did take a few photos but at the Heathrow Central itself.

Heathrow Central is a railway station located in the airport itself. Dad said that we will take the Heathrow Connect to Paddington Railway Station and from there, we will take a cab to our rented apartment. Seem far but Dad said that the journey from Heathrow Central to Paddington is only about 30 minutes .. :)

Let's have a look at a few photos taken by Mum :)

I love the blue lights!

My own poem!

At the moment, we are learning about Performing Arts in school. This is an interesting unit because I love everything about Performing Arts. I love to sing. .. I love to act .. and what else, I love poems and many more.

One of the assignment that I have to do is to write a very short poem related to something. I have chosen the "thing" to be a T-Shirt. What teacher wanted us to do is compose a poem and reflect it on the object that we have chosen.

Ok .. let's have look at my poem - a short one ok?

T-shirts, you wear it everyday
T-shirts, it comes in different colours
T-shirts, make in different ways
T-shirts, mostly very cheap
T-Shirts!

Ok .. now I have to write the poem onto a T-SHIRT! Let's see what I have done!

Mum helped me to cut out the shape of the two t-shirts. One light blue and one pink. I have to write the poem on the pink t-shirt and I did all the sewing by myself. My fingers actually injured couple of times as I am NOT good in sewing! But the outcome is quite ok.

When I presented my work to the class, teacher said that mine is one of the best !! I am so happy!!!
